An around the clock effort to get I44 Riverside Speedway ready for the 14th Annual Mini Sprint Nationals has been underway for several weeks. Destroyed by the May 20th tornado just 72 days ago; an epic and unprecedented effort has unfolded to prepare for the grand reopening of the speedway.
Come on out to celebrate the rebirth of I44 Riverside Speedway and a continuation of auto racing in the Oklahoma City metro area that spans back more than 80 years!
Pre-registered? Everyone is getting ready for Nationals. Online pre-entries flooded in before Monday night’s deadline. Pre-registration remains open, but all entries must be in before 11pm Thursday night. Racers can pre-register at Thursday night’s practice between 6-8pm and indeed, dozens intend to do just that. Pre-registration fee is $100, race day entry is $150. DRIVER ENTRY is included in entry fee.

We are running a different racing format at this year’s Nationals. Friday night’s draw will form the field for heat races. Passing points from those heat races will determine lineups for larger qualifiers - meaning all entries will race twice on Friday.
Qualifier finishes will determine Feature lineups for Saturday. Exact number of A Main transfers from Friday’s qualifiers will be announced before heat races begin on Friday and will be on lineup boards.
Only two winners are now entered to defend their 2012 Mini Sprint Nationals titles. Broken Arrow’s Jason McDougal broke through in the Restricted ranks last year while Bartlesville’s Oklahoma’s Caleb Edwards took the Turf Tire score. The Turf Tire will run under the Non Wing Sportsman banner for the first time I44 Riverside Speedway history at this year’s Nationals!
